Virginia Lee Perez is an attorney that practices in Florida state, federal, and appellate courts. She is a member of the Florida Bar, District of Columbia Bar, and has been admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, and the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.Ms. Perez earned a Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law and received a Certificate in International Commercial Arbitration Law and Practice from Hamline University in conjunction with Queen Mary, University of London. During law school Ms. Perez served as a Certified Legal Intern at FIU’s Children’s Immigration Clinic and Interned with Marriage Equality in Dublin, Ireland. In addition, Ms. Perez was on FIU’s International Arbitration Moot team and travelled to Vienna, Austria to compete in the Vis International Arbitration competition. Throughout law school, Ms. Perez also played competitive rugby with the Miami Women’s Rugby Club and served as President of the club. Ms. Perez is a Gator Alumni earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida with minors in Sociology and European Union Studies. As part of her coursework, Ms. Perez spent a summer studying the E.U. in Brussels. Ms. Perez is a proud member of the Cuban American Bar Association and volunteers legal services through the CABA Pro Bono Project. Ms. Perez is also a member of the Coral Gables Bar Association.
Ms. Perez strives in competition, professionally and personally. When Ms. Perez isn’t helping clients or otherwise practicing law, she trains and competes in Brazilian jiu jitsu and rugby. She has won the International Brazilian Jiujitsu Federation World Championships two times.
